Anushka Kempken is a Johannesburg-based artist whose woven paper works explore cycles of transformation, renewal, and spiritual contemplation through a meticulous process of deconstruction and reconstruction. With an Honours Degree in Fine Art from the University of Pretoria, she has exhibited widely both locally and internationally, including at the XIV Florence Biennale, Venice International Art Fair, and Zeitz MOCAA. Through her meditative weaving practice, Kempken creates textured, layered compositions that invite viewers into quiet reflection on interconnectedness, impermanence, and the unseen forces that shape human experience.
